Family Medicine Specialists offers the following FDA-approved vaccines:
- Children (3 – 11): beginning at the pre-school visit (4-5 years old), KINRIX (combines the Tetanus, Diptheria, Pertussis and the Polio vaccine in one shot), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) and Chicken Pox vaccines. Also Flu shots (Vaccines against Influenza are now recommended for all children from 6 months to 18 years of age).
- Adolescents (11 – 18): Menactra (meningitis), Flu shots, Gardasil (against HPV—the Human Papilloma Virus), and Adacel (combined Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis).
- Adults: Tetanus shots (including Adacel), Flu Shots, Pneumonia Vaccine (Pneumovax), and Zostavax (the Shingles Vaccine).
